Memco Digital Audio Unit

Replace traditional analogue auto diallers with a modern digital audio solution

The Digital Audio Unit (DAU) is typically mounted behind the car operating panel but can also be installed on top of the car or beneath it, depending on site requirements. It connects to the 4G GSM Digital Communication Platform (DCP), forming part of the lift’s emergency communication system.


The Digital Audio Unit can be linked to the DCP via a 4-wire CAN Bus, which supplies both power and data. Alternatively, it is possible to reuse the existing 2-wire connection for communication, provided that a local power supply is available for the unit.

The slimline MEMCO Surface Mounted Audio module is designed with a compact mechanical footprint and integrates all key emergency communication features into a single, easy-to-install unit.


Fixed within the lift car and connected to an Memco emergency phone unit, it supports both digital audio and analogue (PSTN) emergency systems—ensuring compatibility and future-proofing.


This unit is ideal for retrofits or new installations where space is limited and compliance with lift safety standards such as EN 81-28 is essential.

Digital Communication Platform (DCP)

The DCP is the brain of the AVIRE Ecosystem - combining a cellular gateway, lift emergency telephone and advanced M2M technology in a single unit, compact unit.


Its built-in M2M capability allows for remote configuration of all connected devices and the secure extraction of valuable lift monitoring data - benefits that typically require installing an entirely new lift controller.
