Digital Audio Unit

Replace traditional analogue auto diallers with a modern digital audio solution

The Digital Audio Unit is typically mounted behind the car operating panel but can also be installed on top of the car or beneath it, depending on site requirements. It connects to the 4G GSM Digital Communication Platform (DCP), forming part of the lift’s emergency communication system.


The Digital Audio Unit can be linked to the DCP via a 4-wire CAN Bus, which supplies both power and data. Alternatively, it is possible to reuse the existing 2-wire connection for communication, provided that a local power supply is available for the unit.

Fixed within the lift car and connected to an Memco emergency phone unit, it supports both digital audio and analogue (PSTN) emergency systems—ensuring compatibility and future-proofing.


This unit is ideal for retrofits or new installations where space is limited and compliance with lift safety standards such as EN 81-28 is essential.
