Stingl Type A Pit Ladder

Stationary, inclinable aluminum ladder is available with or without a contact-protected safety switch and is designed for very narrow shaft conditions and dowelling on concrete walls.

The requirement of EN 81, section 5.7.3.2 "Descent device must not protrude into the area of the moving elevator parts" must be observed. An electrical safety contact can be supplied on request. The ladder suspension is made of galvanized sheet steel. Corresponding steel dowels are supplied for attachment to the shaft wall.

Stingl Type B Pit Ladder

The type B stationary aluminum ladder is available with or without mounting brackets.

This version is intended for use in elevator shafts with normal space conditions. The step depth of at least 200 mm prescribed by EN 81-20 is observed.

The spacers are made of galvanized sheet steel. Appropriate steel dowels are supplied for attaching to the shaft wall. The pit ladder type B is complaint with EN-131EN81-20/50.

Key Features:

  • Material corrosion protection: Aluminum extruded profile
  • External ladder width: 350mm
  • Application ladder: Stationary/shaft attachment
  • EN81-20/50 compliant
  • Rail dimension: 50x25mm
  • Ladder length options: 2.5m, 3.0m, 3.6m
  • Ladder width clearance: 300mm
  • Rung size/ step depth: 29x29mm

Stingl Type E Pit Ladder

The ALU folding ladder is particularly suitable for shaft conditions in which it is not possible to attach the ladder to the shaft wall or, as in the case of glass elevators, a ladder should not be noticeably visible. In shafts with shallow shaft depths and high shaft pits, the folding ladder is a suitable aid to ascent and descent.

The ALU folding ladder is available in a version with one or two pairs of steel joints. The folding ladder has a hook-on profile that can be adjusted as required according to the maximum shaft pit depth and, when installed lengthways, is used to lock in the guide groove of the door threshold. A tilting back of the applied ladder can thus be prevented. If the ladder can only be installed parallel to the doorstep, a safety contact (optionally attached to the wall or floor) should (optionally) monitor the position of the ladder.

The ladder is automatically locked by pulling it up using a chain of knots attached to the shaft wall. After use, the steel joints are unlocked with the help of pulling ropes so that the folding ladder can be brought into rest position by lowering it. The bearing block to be fixed on the shaft bottom gives the unfolded and applied ladder on the one hand a secure stand against slipping and on the other hand ensures that the ladder is safely guided from the rest position to the end position. In the case of hydraulic elevators, the bearing block can be attached via an additional wall bracket, since drilling into the bottom of the shaft u. U. is not permitted.

The ladder rungs are pressed together with the ladder rails and are ribbed to prevent slipping. Fastening material is completely enclosed with the ladder. The ladder can optionally be supplemented with height-adjustable stile extensions at the top end of the ladder.

Key Features:

  • Material corrosion protection: Aluminum extruded profile
  • EN 81-20/50 compliant
  • Ladder length options: 2.46m, 3.4m

Stingl Type F Pit Ladder

This static stepladder has spacers that pivot forward. A spring mechanism ensures that the ladder lies directly against the shaft wall, leaving a gap to the floor of the shaft, when it is not being used.

This means that a small installation depth of only around 80–90 mm (depending on the length of the ladder) is required. The step depth required by accident prevention regulations is respected if the ladder is pulled as far forward as possible in an 85° movement until it rests on the floor of the shaft. The ladder can then be used. The ladder automatically returns to the shaft wall once weight is removed from it.

Key Features:

  • Materials/ corrosion protection: Aluminum extruded profile
  • External ladder width: 350mm
  • Application ladder: Stationary, vertically pivoting stepladder
  • EN 81-20/50 compliant
  • Rail dimension (mm): 50x25
  • Ladder width clearance: 300mm
  • Rung size/ step depth: 29x29mm
  • Quick and cost-efficient solution
  • Suitable for use in narrow spaces
  • Thanks to the spring mechanism, there is no need for a monitoring contact to monitor the position of the ladder
  • The spacers can be attached to any crimped ladder step with a standard external width of 350mm and a step profile of at least 30x30 mm
  • Short installation time
  • Ladder length options: 2.5m, 3.0m, 3.6m, 4.1m
