Download E-Motive Catalogue
  • What is the difference between CAT5e and CAT6 cable?

    Visually, you will notice a difference between CAT5E and CAT6 connectors. CAT6 has a cross-shaped plastic component, within the connector housing, separating each twisted pair of wires.

    CAT5e cable supports Gigabit networking, but CAT6 is certified for Gigabit networking and will have improved performance over longer distances.

  • Can fibre optic OM1 cable be used instead of CAT5e or CAT6 cable?

    Yes, Fibre Optic OM1 cable can be used instead of CAT5e or CAT6 cable. The typical Bandwidth for a Video Stream is 2-4Mbps up to a maximum of 12Mbps. The typical data rate of a Fibre Optic OM1 cable is 100Mbps with a maximum Data Transmission length of up to 2km.

  • I have several segment displays that need replacing. What do I do?

    If the current displays are E-Motive then we may still offer them for purchase. We offer many different options in our displays range. If you do not want to change the COP panel these displays can be replaced with Retrofit LCD displays to quickly upgrade your lifts.

  • I have a bank of lifts that need new displays inside the lift cars. What information do I need to start a quotation?

    1. How many lifts?

    2. Do they share a machine room?

    3. What do you need to show on the displays?

    4. Do you want to update your content remotely?

    5. Do you want to show live TV or stream content?

  • What do I need to play audio from my displays?

    The PxP, MxP and IS2LX have a built in audio card therefore all that is required is an external speaker to connect to the display (IS2LX & MxP are packaged with a speaker) which can be bought seperately. For the C1L display you will require a CX-MP3 board and external speaker.

    PxP = PSP/PRP

    MxP = MSP/MRP

  • Can I wire a display directly to the lift controller?

    Yes, if required. *Note the controller signals will need to be known in order to configure the display.

  • How do the displays receive the lift information?

    Lift information such as direction of travel or lift position can be gained by using the Avire Navigation Box sensor (no need for lift controller information) or the CX-BASIC I/O module which connects to the lift controller or the Avire EPS module (uses sensors on each floor). For lift status messages you will need to use a CX-BASIC or if using the PxP range there are discrete inputs available on the display.
