Whitesmith Solutions is a New Zealand distributor of LIVE AIR lift air-purification and ventilation systems, providing innovative solutions designed to improve air quality and passenger comfort within enclosed lift cars.
Developed in Germany by Lift-M GmbH, the LIVE AIR range combines advanced bipolar ionisation technology with mechanical ventilation on selected models, offering practical air-quality solutions for new installations, lift modernisation and existing lift cars.
The range includes standalone air-purification systems, combined ventilation and ionisation units, concealed installations and battery-backed ventilation solutions.
How LIVE AIR Technology Works
LIVE AIR ionisation systems generate positively and negatively charged ions using a specialised ionisation tube. These ions disperse throughout the lift car, where the technology is designed to help reduce airborne contaminants and unwanted odours.
Unlike conventional filtration systems, LIVE AIR uses ionisation to treat air within the lift car rather than relying solely on drawing air through a filter.
Selected systems also introduce air from the lift shaft, combining mechanical ventilation with air treatment.
Low-Maintenance Operation
LIVE AIR ionisation systems are designed for straightforward maintenance, with the manufacturer recommending annual cleaning of the ionisation tube and an approximate five-year tube service life. Where battery-backed power supplies are installed, preventative battery replacement is recommended every three years or following relevant emergency operation.
